Seltene antike PunschKelle aus der Belle Époque
versilbert

ca. 1890 von der weltberühmten Silberschmiede Christofle, Paris, hergestellt
punziert rückseitig oberhalb des partiell gerippten Stiels

Provenienz: stammt aus dem legendären Café de Paris in Monte Carlo
Signet befindet sich rückseitig unten am Griff

Maße: Gesamtlänge ca. 39 cm – Laffe (mit Abdeckung) ca. 14 x 8 cm – Gewicht ca. 255 g

Stilvolle PunschKelle mit zwei Ausgießern und einer kunstvoll durchbrochenen Abdeckung
(Scharnierdeckel) – schlichter Stiel mit partiell geripptem Dekor – hochwertig und qualitätsvoll
verarbeitet

Gemessen am Alter sehr schöner Zustand mit normalen alters- und nutzungsbedingten
Gebrauchsspuren wie Putzspuren, feine Kratzer – originale Versilberung ist sehr gut erhalten

Im Jahr 1988 feierte das Café de Paris in Monte Carlo sein 120jähriges Bestehen. Zu diesem Anlass wurde
es aufwendig jedoch sehr behutsam renoviert unter unversehrtem Beibehalten seines äußerlichen Belle-
Époque-Stils.  Der Regisseur Erich von Strohheim ließ das Café de Paris zusammen mit dem Hôtel de
Paris und einen Teil von Monte Carlo für seinen Film „Foolish Wives“ 1921 komplett in Hollywood
nachbauen.

Rare Antique Punch Ladle from the Belle Époque
Silver-plated

Crafted around 1890 by the world-renowned silversmith Christofle, Paris.
Hallmarked on the reverse side, just above the partially ribbed handle.

Provenance: This exquisite piece originates from the legendary Café de Paris in Monte Carlo.
The establishment’s insignia is found at the bottom of the handle on the reverse side.

Dimensions: Total length approx. 15.35 in – Bowl (with cover): approx. 5.51 x 3.15 in – Weight: approx. 255 g

A refined punch ladle featuring two spouts and an ornately pierced hinged cover.
The sleek handle is adorned with partially ribbed decoration, reflecting the ladle’s exceptional
craftsmanship and high quality.

Considering its age, the ladle is in very good condition, showing normal, age-related signs of use such as
light polishing marks and fine surface scratches. The original silver plating is remarkably well preserved.

This rare collector’s item from the Belle Époque impresses with its timeless elegance, typical
of the refined hospitality culture of the late 19th century. A true highlight for connoisseurs of
historic tableware and decorative arts.

In 1988, the Café de Paris in Monte Carlo celebrated its 120th anniversary. On this occasion, it was carefully
and extensively restored, preserving its magnificent Belle Époque exterior.
The director Erich von Stroheim famously had the Café de Paris, along with the Hôtel de Paris and parts of
Monte Carlo, recreated in Hollywood for his 1921 film Foolish Wives.
