Kleines Gemälde mit atmosphärischer Schönheit.
Wechselndes Licht über dem Wasser und die feine
malerische Handschrift verleihen ihm einen ganz
eigenen Zauber.

Die Maße des über 120 Jahre alten Gemäldes
machen es leicht, noch einen Platz an der Wand
dafür zu finden.

Bevor ich dieses Gemälde erwerben konnte,
befand es sich ca. dreißig Jahre im Besitz eines
norddeutschen Antiquitätenhändlers, der es
in den 1980er Jahren auf einer Auktion in
London kaufte.

A small painting of remarkable atmospheric
beauty. The changing light across the water
and the delicate, painterly brushwork give it
a very distinctive charm.

The compact dimensions of this painting,
now over 120 years old, make it easy to find
a suitable place for it on almost any wall.

Before I was able to acquire this painting,
it had remained for approximately thirty
years in the possession of a North German
antiques dealer, who purchased it at an
auction in London during the 1980s.
