Das ovale Teekännchen steht auf einem
schmalen Sockel. Darüber erhebt sich ein
schlichter, bauchiger Korpus mit tief ange-
setzter Schnaupe einerseits und Henkel-
förmiger Handhabe andererseits.
Flach aufliegender Scharnierdeckel, der
sich zur Mitte mit einem Kugelförmigen
Knauf erhebt.
Innen am Ausgießer befindet sich ein
eingelassenes Sieb, um lose Teeblätter
beim Eingießen zurückzuhalten.

Sehr schöner Zustand mit normalen
alters- und nutzungsbedingten Gebrauchs-
spuren wie Putzspuren, zarten Kratzern
(minimal). Originale Versilberung innen
und außen komplett erhalten.

Das luxuriöse Grand Hotel Continental
in München bestand von 1892 bis 1994.
Entstanden ist es durch den Umbau eines
vornehmen Adelspalais und eröffnete 1892. 
In der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts
galt es als eines der führenden Top-Hotels
Münchens. 
Zahlreiche Prominente und Persönlichkeiten
nächtigten dort, darunter Kaiserin Elisabeth
von Österreich, Gustav Mahler, Thomas
Mann, Gerhart Hauptmann und Rainer
Maria Rilke. 
Es war nicht nur Unterkunft, sondern auch
ein Treffpunkt für Adel, Politik und Kultur.

The oval teapot stands on a narrow base.
Above it rises a simple, rounded body with
a low-set spout on one side and a handle-
shaped grip on the other. The flat, hinged
lid sits flush and rises toward the center
into a spherical finial. Inside the spout is
an integrated strainer designed to retain
loose tea leaves while pouring.

Very fine condition with normal age-
and use-related signs of wear, such as
polishing marks and very light surface
scratches (minimal). The original silver
plating is fully preserved inside and out.

The luxurious Grandhotel Continental
München existed from 1892 to 1994.
It was created through the conversion of
an elegant aristocratic palace and opened
in 1892.
In the first half of the 20th century, it was
considered one of Munich’s leading
grand hotels. Numerous prominent figures
stayed there, including Elisabeth von
Österreich, Gustav Mahler, Thomas Mann,
Gerhart Hauptmann, and Rainer Maria
Rilke. It served not only as accommodation
but also as a meeting place for aristocracy,
politics, and culture.
