Der Obstkorb steht auf 4 verzierten Füßen.
Korb besteht umlaufend aus stilisierten
Brombeeren mit Blattwerk und kleinen
Blüten. Beweglicher Henkelgriff mit auf-
wendiger floraler Verzierung.
Die kobaltblaue Glasschale ist heraus-
nehmbar.

Äußerst dekorative Obstschale in wun-
derschöner und aufwendiger Metall-
arbeit der Silberschmiede Krupp Bern-
dorf.

Gemessen am Alter befindet sich diese
Obstschale in einem sehr schönen und
gepflegten Zustand mit normalen alters-
und nutzungsbedingten Gebrauchs-
spuren in Form von Putzspuren, kleinen
Kratzern, minimale Verfärbungen im
Innenbereich.
Die originale Versilberung ist gut er-
halten. Die Glasschale befindet sich in
einem hervorragenden Zustand.

Das Hotel Meurice wurde auch „Hôtel des Rois“
(Hotel der Könige) genannt. Das Nobelhotel
war aus einem einfachen Kutschengasthaus
entstanden, das Auguste Meurice 1817 in Paris
für Reisende errichtete, die über den Ärmel-
kanal gekommen waren. 1855 wohnte Königin
Viktoria während ihres Parisbesuches im Meurice,
und nach ihr reiste ihr Sohn, der Prinz von Wales
und spätere König Edward VII., sowie die gesamte
Hocharistokratie dorthin: Der König von Spanien
Alfons XIII. und die Großfürstin von Russland.

The fruit basket stands on four decorative
feet. The body of the basket is surrounded
by stylized blackberries with foliage and
small blossoms.
Movable handle with elaborate floral deco-
ration. The cobalt blue glass bowl is re-
movable.

An extremely decorative fruit bowl
featuring beautiful and intricate metal-
work by the silversmith Krupp Berndorf.

Considering its age, this fruit bowl is in
very good and well-maintained condition,
with normal signs of age and use such as
cleaning marks, minor scratches, and slight
discoloration inside.
The original silver plating is well preserved.
The glass bowl is in excellent condition.

The Hotel Meurice was also known as the
“Hotel of Kings.” This luxury hotel de-
veloped from a simple coaching inn that
Auguste Meurice established in Paris in
1817 for travelers arriving from across the
English Channel.
In 1855, Queen Victoria stayed at the 
Meurice during her visit to Paris,
followed by her son, the Prince of Wales
(later King Edward VII), as well as mem-
bers of the high aristocracy, including
King Alfonso XIII of Spain and a Grand
Duchess of Russia.
