Die Kanne steht auf einem ca. 1 cm breiten
Sockel, der umlaufend mit einem Stäbchen-
Dekor verziert ist. Dieses Dekor wiederholt
sich  umlaufend an der Öffnung der Kanne.
Der Scharnierdeckel erhebt sich leicht zur
Mitte und wird dort bekrönt von einem
glockenförmigen Knauf.
Die seitlich in der Mitte der Kanne angesetzte
Handhabe hat einen ca. 11,5 cm langen Holz-
griff. Die langgezogene Schnaupe ist tief im
unteren Drittel der Kanne angesetzt und gießt
hervorragend.
Innen am Ausgießer befindet sich ein Sieb,
so dass auch lose Teeblätter hineingelegt
werden können.

Sehr gepflegter Zustand mit normalen alters-
und nutzungsbedingten Gebrauchsspuren,
jedoch unbedeutend. Die Versilberung ist
innen wie außen sehr gut erhalten.

A rare and impressive large-format maritime
coffee, cocoa, and/or teapot, crafted  made for
the United States Navy (U.S.N.).
The official U.S.N. emblem is prominently
displayed on the front center of the pot,
adding to its historical appeal.

This elegant piece stands on a 0.4-inch wide
foot, encircled by a refined beaded border,
a design that is repeated along the rim of
the opening. The hinged lid gently domes
toward the center and is finished with a
distinctive bell-shaped finial.
The side-mounted handle features a com-
fortable wooden grip, while the elongated
spout is positioned low on the body for
excellent pouring performance.

An integrated strainer inside the spout allows
for the use of loose tea leaves, making the pot
both practical and beautifully designed.

Very well preserved overall, showing only minor,
age-appropriate signs of use. The silver plating
remains in excellent condition, both inside
and out.
