Antiker gebrauchter Zustand mit deut-
lichen Gebrauchsspuren in Form von
Putzspuren, Kratzern, professionelle
Reparatur an einer Gabel.
Originale Versilberung ist komplett
erhalten.

Besteck liegt phantastisch in der Hand
und verfügt über eine  wundervolle
Alterspatina!

Das Atlantic Hotel in Hamburg wurde
ursprünglich für die 1.-Klasse-Passagiere
der Hamburg-Amerika-Linie gebaut, die
aus aller Welt nach Hamburg reisten, um
mit einem luxuriösen Passagierdampfer der
HAPAG in See zu stechen und zuvor ein
oder zwei Nächte im Hotel zu verbringen;
zur Eröffnung des Hauses erschien sogar
Kaiser Wilhelm II., dessen einziger
bürgerlicher Duzfreund Albert Ballin,
der damalige Generaldirektor der HAPAG,
gewesen
war.

Heavy, high-quality set manufactured by the
Parisian silversmith Christofle.
Hallmarks on both the fork and the knife.

Originally produced for the first furnishing
of the legendary Hotel Atlantic in Hamburg.
Hotel insignia stamped on both knife and fork.

Fork length: approx. 7.5 in

6 knives and 6 forks in a heavy quality.
Rounded handles with shell decoration
and delicate floral ornament at the
upper part of the handle.

Antique, used condition with noticeable signs
of use such as polishing marks and scratches.
One fork has had a professional repair.
The original silver plating is fully intact.

The cutlery feels excellent in the hand
and displays a beautiful age patina.

The Atlantic Hotel in Hamburg was originally
built for the first-class passengers of the
Hamburg-America Line, who traveled from far
and wide to embark in Hamburg on a luxury
HAPAG passenger liner and typically spent
one or two nights at the hotel beforehand;
the opening of the hotel was even attended
by Kaiser Wilhelm II, whose only civilian
friend on familiar terms was Albert Ballin,
the Director General of HAPAG.
