Antike versilberte Teekanne auf Rechaud-Ständer um 1900

Diese versilberte Teekanne überzeugt nicht nur durch ihre Ausführung, sondern ebenso mit ihrer
durchdachten wie sicheren Konstruktion. Sie ruht auf einem passenden Rechaud-Ständer mit
herausnehmbarem Brenner, der das Warmhalten des Tees ermöglicht und zugleich als stabile
Präsentationsbasis dient.
Die Kanne wird seitlich durch jeweils zwei filigrane Metallstäbe sicher im Rechaud-Ständer eingehängt.
Diese spezielle Aufhängung erlaubt es, die gefüllte Teekanne während des Eingießens auf dem Ständer
zu belassen. Beim Kippen greifen die Metallstäbe formschlüssig in den Rechaud-Ständer ein und
arretieren die Kanne zuverlässig, sodass ein unbeabsichtigtes Kippen oder Stürzen ausgeschlossen ist.
Innen am Ausgießer der Teekanne befindet sich ein Sieb, das lose Teeblätter während des Eingießens
in der Teekanne belässt. Griff mit HornEinsatz.

Dieses antike Ensemble befindet sich – gemessen am Alter – in einem sehr guten Zustand mit
alters- und nutzungsbedingten Gebrauchsspuren wie Putzspuren, zarten Kratzern, originale Versilberung
ist sehr gut erhalten (minimaler Abrieb am Boden der Teekanne) – Innenbereich der Teekanne ist sauber.

„Palace Hotels“  war eine französische Hotelvereinigung um 1900, die unter dem Namen 
„Union des Palace-Hôtels“ erwähnt wird. Es handelte sich um einen privaten Zusammenschluss
führender Luxushotels, die sich als „Palace Hotels“ verstanden und gemeinsame Qualitätsstandards
definieren wollten. Um 1900 erlebte die Luxushotellerie einen rasanten Aufschwung.
Hotels wie das Ritz (Paris, 1898) oder das Hôtel de Crillon etablierten neue Komfortstandards.
Die Hotel-Vereinigung setzte Kriterien für Ausstattung, Servicequalität, internationale Kundschaft.
Die Mitglieder wollten sich als europäische Spitzenhäuser präsentieren und gemeinsam Werbung
machen, oft in internationalen Reiseführern und Magazinen.
Belegt sind u. a. die Mitgliedschaften französischer und schweizerischer Spitzenhotels, darunter:
Ritz, Paris, Hôtel de Crillon, Paris, Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, Carlton Cannes

Antique Silver-Plated Teapot on Warming Stand, circa 1900

This silver-plated teapot impresses not only with its fine craftsmanship but also with its well-engineered
and secure construction. It rests on a matching warming stand with a removable burner, which allows
the tea to be kept warm while also serving as a stable presentation base.
The teapot is securely suspended on each side by two delicate metal rods that hook into the warming stand.
This special suspension system allows the filled teapot to remain on the stand while pouring. When tilted,
the metal rods engage positively with the warming stand and reliably lock the teapot in place, preventing
any accidental tipping or falling.
Inside the spout of the teapot there is a strainer that retains loose tea leaves during pouring.
Handle with horn inlay.

Considering its age, this antique ensemble is in very good condition, showing age- and use-related signs of wear
such as cleaning marks and fine scratches. The original silver plating is very well preserved (minimal wear to the
base of the teapot). The interior of the teapot is clean.

“Palace Hotels” was a French hotel association around 1900, referred to as the “Union des Palace-Hôtels.”
It was a private association of leading luxury hotels that identified themselves as “Palace Hotels” and sought
to define shared quality standards. Around 1900, the luxury hotel industry experienced rapid growth.
Hotels such as the Ritz (Paris, 1898) and the Hôtel de Crillon established new standards of comfort.
The association set criteria for furnishings, service quality, and an international clientele. Its members
aimed to present themselves as Europe’s leading hotels and to promote themselves collectively, often through
international travel guides and magazines. Documented members include prominent French and Swiss
luxury hotels, among them: Ritz, Paris; Hôtel de Crillon, Paris; Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo; Carlton Cannes.
